Hi folks

I have a Glowworm 45/60 boiler that doesn't want to work. It stopped igniting suddenly but maintains a good pilot light.

Have tried new thermostat, new gas valve, new heat sensor from pilot to valve.

Also tested the voltage at the valve and receiving just over 24v on my meter.

I have looked through several pages on this forum and not seen anything that appears relative except one about polarity at the valve.

How do I check this and any other ideas appreciated.

Regards, Rob

Problem solved :D

Even though I was getting readings of between 19 and 25 volts from the transformer, as it was the only item I had not tried changing, I decided to do so and hey presto, the boiler fired up :D

House is now getting warm again.

Wish I'd tried the transformer first though :!:

Regards, Rob

There's nothing like a logical approach to diagnosis. Pun intended!
Want to sell your spare bits?!
