I have a Glowworm Energysaver 40E Boiler, which makes a large bang every 5 minutes or so, and subsequently, the pilot light goes out.
It automatically relights itself, only for the same thing to happen.
I recently took the cover off the boiler to investigate and found that the cause of the bang was a large yellow flame being emitted from the bottom left of the boiler.
Can anyone help with possible causes for this?? Thanks.

The boiler probably has a gas leak. This is definetley a job for a corgi engineer.
The boiler must be shut down immediatley and not used. I would also turn the gas supply off.
If you cannot get corgi engineer today then call transco they should attend within 2 hours.
