I have a Glowworm swiftflow 80 boiler, the pilot light is on but the system does not light, any suggestions?

First check the system pressure.

Then it's the manual - does the fan start, etc...

This is when I say that it sounds like the venturi/APS problem only to be told that there is one version of this model without an APS!

However these parts of the boiler should only be worked on by a competent person who would normally be cORGI registered.

That depends on the exact cause and how the fixer chooses to deal with it.

We would deal with it if possible by cleaning the problem part.

However there are many who prefer to fit a new part. A sceptic might say thats because it involves more time and a mark up on the parts.

thanks for help.

The boiler has been off for half a year as we have been selling our old house- we have sold the house but the people buying want to see the bolier working.

I will get someone to look at it then and keep my fingers crossed that it is not too expensive.
