grouting around pipes

I have a mixer shower above my bath.

Having managed to cut the tiles to accomodate the pipes I'm now unsure if grouting them is the correct thing to do.

Would that not prevent any future work being done on the pipes without damaging them? Also, it's a stud wall so potentially I could end up packing lots of grout in which just falls out into the cavity.

Just looking for advise on how to do a proper job. The mixer shower pipes have collars which will conceal the pipe-entry but I'm not sure if this will be water tight.

Fill gap with silicone, spray with soapy water, wipe away excess silicone and leave to set.
