Halogen Light Issue

Hi All,

In our kitchen we have a strip of about 6 halogen lights all mounted on the same fitting/gang/thingy.

One of the bulbs appeared to have gone however when I swapped the bulb over from one out of the conservatory (that was working) it doesn't work.

Any idea what may be wrong (as i'm sure it isn't the bulb that has gone) and how i can further diagnose the issue?

What does the fitting look like with the bulb removed? A burnt mess?
