Hi

I have 3 50w halogen spotlights in my bathroom, 1 over the shower which is in waterproof housing and 2 others which are just normal spots.

One of the regular spotlights keeps blowing. I changed the bulb yesterday morning and it worked fine for a couple of hours. When i got home last night it had gone again.

The other 2 are fine.

I was thinking water might have got into it because there are no windows in my bathroom and therefore poor ventilation but there is no sign of any moisture. I tried one of the other bulbs and it is working ok. I checked the blown bulb in one of the other light fiitings and it has definitely gone.

Could anyone help me in terms of what the problem might be and how to fix.
Thanks

Are these 240V or 12V?

If the latter, try swapping out the transformer.

Are you sure the lamp has failed or did it just stop working in one fitting?

Try putting it in another fitting and see if it works now.

What brand of lamps are you using?

It might be the lampholder / transformer / loose connection.
