We have underfloor heating throughout but need to fit a radiator for a new wood stove installation with water jacket to indirect vented cylinder.
Some years ago we purchased and fitted a new Victorian style rad in the bathroom. We specifically chose a rad with two straight bottom entry fittings so that we could insert an electric heater rod due to only having underfloor heating and wanted towel warming. Although there is a bleed valve at the top of this rad there is no facility for running pipes at the top so no possibility of flow going diagonally top/bottom only across the bottom, so is it suitable as a heat leak please? Obviously heat will rise to the top but I am told the flow should be diagonally not just across the bottom as in pumped situations.
