help....frustrating boiler problem...aaaaaaah

Hi can anyone help.
at first my boiler seemed stuck on water only, i could move the 'lever' on the actuator and if the water was running could force it on to CH. So thought it must be the motor in the actuator (I was wrong!) when i put the actuator back on the valve (motor unable to be changed as it is a sealed unit)and turned on the power the awkward ****** moved to the CH position and kicked up (not before I had wasted hrs) problem is if we use hot water sticks on h water again!!!! when you turn off the hot tap doesn't go back to heating.... frustrating!!! cant be much please help!!!

( or was until I broke into the thing to find they have made it impossible to change the motor that I now know works!!)
could the room stat be faulty????

Its a Radiant CF 80 or whatever they called them!

What is it with people who can't be asked to read "read this before you post" or faq, and then stick another post up if they don't get an answer with ready made solution in an hour.
Like the bit that says: can't be much.
In other words, I will pay someone to do it if he charges less than 30 quid
