Hello

We have a patch of damp on the inside of our wall and after removing the gutter next to it, we found a hole. We think it's pretty safe to say that this is how the water is getting in.

Without having to remove multiple bricks and repoint, what is the best temporary solution for this?

Thanks

Water can soak through porous brickwork, with or without a hole.

You may need an extra piece of lead flashing to deflect roof run off into the the gutter and off the wall.

Thanks - I think we're about one piece short above the window so will look to get that sorted.

Long term, am I looking at replacing the bricks entirely?

No, if you fit the required flashing, the hole can be just filled with mastic or mortar and hidden.
