Would like to replace washer on hot sink tap, at the same time I thought I could fit an isolating joint just below the basin. Can I do this (quickly maybe !!) without draining the copper hot water cylinder.
Yes, turn off the cold supply to the hot water cylinder. Open the hot tap and drain until it stops (only the water in the pipe, so not much). Fit the isolator.
