I cannot get any water what so ever (not even a drip) from my bath's hot water tap. The bathroom basin and kitchen sink hot taps are fine. I live in a 'hard water' area and limescale can be a bit of a problem, but usually just with the kettle and showerhead.

Limescale is the only reason I can think of for causing this blockage. The building is about 40 years old and the bathroom plumbing and pipes have never been replaced or renewed. However, this is the first time in 20 years I have had a problem of this nature.

Does this sound like the kind of repair I could do myself?

I would be most grateful for whatever advise anyone could give me.

Much obliged

You can try changing the taps over to see if the suspect tap is at fault, or, you could try changing the washer inside.

It could be an airlock. What is supplying your hot water?
