Hello, I have a Range PowerMax 155x (potterton / baxi I cant figure out who makes it!) that is almost 4 years old now, lately we have had a problem where opening the taps more than half way causes the hot water to cut off all together, no water comes out of the tap at all!

This feels like a pressure issue to me and a while back we had leaky radiators, any possible link?

Anyway, does anybody have a clue as to what the problem may be? I have also had the covers off and cannot find a pressure gague that tells me the boiler pressure, but others have mentioned knowing the pressure, any help would be much appreciated.

thanks

if the preassure has dropped since you have been living it sounds like either the flow regulator or heat exchanger is blocked, this is not linked to your radiators :D

hmm, thanks. I got "Heat Team" to come and look at it for a fixed price, they are going to change loads of parts in the boiler though I dont think the engineer really knew what to do with it.

trouble is I think the engineers are on a bonus for how many they can fix in a day as he ran out of here within half an hour on-site, then booked to come back and do the job, though he has since cancelled that appointment too. I think its going to take him 3 hours to do and he wants a bigger xmas bonus.
