hot water too......hot!!!!

My central heating sytem seems to work fine, however the hot water is scaldingly hot. I/ve tried turning the boiler right down but it doesn't seem to make any difference. there is no temprature adjustment on the water tank either.

Though we are all exceptionally gifted in being able to diagnose problems even from the other side of the world, could you tell us a little about your system please?

What type/make of boiler?
What type of system? ie sealed/open vented?
Gas/oil?
How old?
Has it worked ok in the past?
