HOTPOINT WD64 WASHER/DRYER PROBLEM

I have the above machine and when on the drying cycle the fan can be heard working but no heat is generated to dry.
Any help/advice as to the problem and how to correct would be greatly appreciated.

remove the lid and check the two stats on the heater box ,and broken wires near the motor plug

themostats and themo cut out on top of heater box 1 round 1 is a funny shape .check continuity on both of them
