I have a fitted kitchen that is just beyond its guarantee date and the plasticy/rubbery paint is peeling off mostly around the handels, can anyone help by telling me what I need to remove this type of coating so as I can repaint it preferably with a long lasting paint.

Try paint stripper..but be warned its a long laborious job..id sooner get them dipped.
