How do you make an American Fridge Freezer fit flush to cabinets?

We have bought a Samsung FF and the doors a thick. Because of this and the way it hinges the FF either has to sit proud of the units or you need quite a large gap at the sides.

I have read (many sites) about requiring a certain amount of space at the sides, back and top for ventilation, however when you compare the market photos to my reality it doesn't seem the same

Below is ours at the moment, It can push back by 4 cm, but the way the doors swing open would need a good 3 cm either side to have it flush, which seems like an ugly gap

I've read about counter depth etc and we could send our FF back as AO.com have a great policy, however it seems a strange challenge

They are not designed to fit flush, you would need to change to built in units.
