How long does battery last when power off ?

Hi,

Just having alarm fitted and it uses has 12 1.2 AM battery in it (brand new) one of these :

There is going to be loads of other electrical work going on over coming weeks where main power will be off for the whole day and switched back on in evening, how long will one of those batteries keep an alarm powered up for as be a nightmare if dies during the day and alarm sounds ?

What is the alarm panel ? How many powered devices inc keypads and external soundest ?

Ah yes good point, I have got one of these : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233775951720 so the panel is one of these https://www.security.honeywell.com/uk/product-repository/8sp399a-uk and will have 2-3 PIR's and the LCD keypad attached to it,

About 6-8 hours , it would have been better with the 2.1ah battery fitted

Hi thanks for reply, 6-8 likely to be too short as electrician doing full days, can pick up a 2.1ah one, how long do you reckon that one would last ?

Post picture of inside of control panel first as it will depend on where the wiring comes into the box ...

If the place is a building site, wire a car battery in parallel with the internal battery while works are going on (bellwire, fuse, crocodile clips) and charge the car battery occasionally when the power is on.
