how to choose a right solid oak fitter

We are thinking of having our home floored by solid oak and have found a good supplier of french oaks but need fitters to do this for us. Your advice on
1) how to choose the right fitter,
2)what questions to ask, and
3)what process are requried to ensure that the floor is properly fitted.
4) what is the cost per m2 for fitting the floor.
