how to lay hotrods in laminate kitchen woprktop

help....nice new laminate worktop - not much space. Never used router before...is it easy to put stainless steel hotrods in - if so how. THANKS

I would not do it in a laminate top, they are really intended for solid surface tops, the problem is once you cut through the thin laminate there is a high risk of water getting into the chipboard core, even if sealed with silicon.

I think you can buy dummy ones that are half round or metal studs that are stuck to the laminate, B&Q do them.

gawd....it was seeing them looking so good on a laminate surface that made me buy the top....(and the much cheaper price of course....) anyway thanks for that and Happy New Year.
