Please someone help us. We have an ecotec combi boiler new in last 12 months, with a seimans wireless thermostat. We have never been able to gtet the heating working properly. Until yesterday we had no heating at all. WE reset the thermostat and the receiver, and now we have heating, but it doesnt turn off when its meant to, its on all the time upstairs and occassionally turned off downstairs! It makes no logical sense, we have been through all the instructions, we have rang the boiler maufacturer and they just say its the thermostat. We have rang our landlord who doesnt want to call an engineer out as he feels we just cant work the thermostat properly. This is costing us a fortune! Help!

Were you there when it was installed? If so part of the installer's job is called 'handover', where safety and functional control information is explained to the user. The installer is obliged to record this to have been done on boiler documentation.
yes but only if you are there, its not up to the engineer to call back to explain the controls to you, it sounds like when you have been playing with the controller that you have pressed the manual override so it wont go off till you press it again
