Can someone assist??

I have an Ideal Boiler Isar, the problem is during various times of the day/night, there is a clicking/banging noise.

I have had a plumber in who has changed the Diverter Valve (as the heating was coming on regardless whether the timer was off or not). Thats now been rectifed, however, he said the banging would stop, it hasn't.

The noise is still there, driving us all crazy as we do not know when its going to happen.

Can someone advise.

   You've got an Isar

Sorry that was uncalled for

This is allegedly the most unreliable boiler know to man at present. Is the boiler actually banging, or does the noise appear to be coming from the pipe work somewhere?

When exactly does it bang?

Basically, the noise seems to come from the pipes in two places, however, I think that this has been triggered from the boiler.

It usually bangs late at night when the heating is off, and maybe sometimes during the day, when again, the heating is off.

Thanks
