Ideal Istor water noise

Hi

System installed in new build flat 2 years ago. 6 months ago it had a problem causing a lot of water to go out through the tundish - this was fixed. For the past few days I've been woken in the early hours of the morning by a loud water 'gurgling' noise from the boiler. It was making this noise even when no demand for CH or DHW. There is no water going out via the tundish.

The system seems to work fine otherwise - generates good heat and hot water.

Is this something to be concerned about? Any ideas what could be causing this?

It did light with a loud bang a couple of weeks ago but has been fine.

In case anybody has this problem in the future turns out that the CH expansion tank had lost its charge....

I wonder if there was other water noise caused was the immersion circuit on the cylinder traying to keep the water in there at a fixed temperature when the the boiler wasn't firing for DHW....
