So the straight rigid part of the flexible pipe goes in to a 32mm mcalpine fitting and bites up ok?

Yes, I just cut mine back to attach to 32mm waste pipe under the unit.

Yes, As with all ikea stuff, good instructions just need a screwdriver.

Thanks do you mean you cut the flexi back? Does it not have a straight rigid bit that needs to go in go the mcalpine fitting?

Thats right, just cut the flexi back to length if you need to, straight or flexi will go into a McAalpine connector

The Flexi section of that pipe isn't really suited for watertight connection to compression fittings ,hence the rigid section is incorporated in its design.
