Hi,

Apologies if this is obvious but I fully admit to knowing nothing about double glazing. The patterned glass interior pane (approx. 34" x 10") in my bathroom spontaneously cracked (?implosion secondary to temperature fluctuation) and the intact outer pane of the unit is modern stained glass which I am keen to keep as it matches the rest of the house. I have included links to a couple of photos below (middle top unit). Is it possible to repair the sealed unit and keep the stained glass or will this have to be taken out and replaced with different stained glass? If a repair is possible roughly how much should I expect to pay for this?

Kind regards,

Rhys.

Here's a link which explains why and how the units can break

If I was asked to replace this for you I'd either temporary glaze it with a bit of single pane glass OR use a bit of ply, then I'd take your broken unit away to be copied, I would imagine somewhere round £80
