This is a wild shot in the dark, but these forums are a goldmine, so I thought it was worth a try:

My extractor fan, an Indesit HI160, has stopped working, and I wanted to try to see if I can fix it myself, before paying the £125 callout charge.

It was not in use when it stopped, it worked fine one day, but just didn't come on when I switched it on the next day.

I can't seem to find a fuse anywhere on the appliance, so any ideas for where this may be kept would be much appreciated. I've had a look for an online manual for this particular model, but couldn't find one.

The wiring for the unit is not visible, and I have no way of finding out where it's wired from/to, but again, any ideas for where to look would be welcome.

If the problem is with the fan motor, is a DIY fix possible?
What other things could be wrong?

Many thanks in advance,
Susanne

check the fuse in the socket poss hidden might be hard wired or a plug on it . the only thing that controls it is the pcb located above the light bulb .see if the button is stuck in on the pcb .
