We have a new induction hob. I've used it a few times to fry food using a Russel Hobbs frying pan which is part of a set of pans that we bought as they are marked as suitable for induction hobs.
Today I tried to use a saucepan from the same set and the hob simply turned off with the unsuitable pan warning symbol lit. A magnet sticks to the pan.
Any ideas how I can sort this?

Just wondering, is the base flat?

I would contact Russel Hobbs. I assume that the rest of the set works on the same part of the hob?

A lot of pans say they're suitable for induction .......but they're not and they don't work !
If they look like stainless steel they can cause problems as there's not enough ferrous in them so they are not recognised by the sensors it is a common problem !

You'll have to try different pans
