Looking at installing an Ali front door, but having a read around many people say I need to install a wooden door frame first, but all the doors I see seem to be fitted flush against the brick wall.

What's the deal in fitting these?

Ali frames used to be fitted into hardwood subframes - usually Brazilian Mahogany back then but thats like rocking horse teeth now, nowadays its usually direct fixed using an even leg ali profile fitted just like upvc, those that are telling you about subframes are stuck in the 80's and 90's

Awsome thankyou.

The edges just sealed with silicone between frame and brickwork?
