Installing Baumatic Cooker Hood

Installing above and manufacturers instructions state that should be connected "via double pole switch fused spur outlet" with a 3 amp fuse.

Can this be plugged into a "normal" socket ? The old hood was powered this way.

Yup.

3A fuse in the plug.

Looks naff, but electrically it's fine.
