Insulation over pipes

Hello,

Very quick question. I intend to cross-lay some space-blanket stlye insulation over the existing in my loft. I've done a quick check, and the shower and cooker cables have enough flex to lay them above the new insulation.

However, there are a couple of pipes that run for about a meter or so before dissapearing. They come from the boiler, and I think it is the heating circuit for the radiators.

Is it okay to lay the insulation over these pipes? They are already lagged (with the grey foam stuff). I would guess the answer would be yes it won't do any harm, but I just wanted to check. Cutting the space blanket would be a pain as it would have to be done length ways.

With the pipes in question you can't insulate them too much, so knock yourself out!

(Er, I mean go for it, not smack your head on a rafter and lie unattended for several days before being reported missing from work.)
