Integral garage foundation

Hi,

Looking for some info on foundations as getting conflicting information.

Existing house is getting a garage added to the side with a room behind so garage slab will be at ground level and rear room will be at 330mm above.

Can I simply have the same foundation level front to back and shutter the rear room and pour more concrete? It seems a lot of concrete but what's the alternative?
