Irregular heat from mains downstairs shower

Setup: Semi-detached, woodburner for heating/ Water, immersion for warmer months

The shower is downstairs, and while the water in the tank/off all taps is hot, even on bath tap, the shower (from the bath mixer tap) has started struggling to supply hot water. It does some times, but not always. This is a relatively recent problem. (last few weeks or so).

I have checked the shower pipe and head - no limescale.

I think it could be where the water flips from taps to shower. any suggestions? Could it be the hot water pressure is less than cold water pressure (which is weak anyway)? Any suggestions for remedying this?

Thanks in advance!!
