Hi,

I'm looking at getting my old Thorn M56/76 replaced with a new boiler. I have had a quote which suggested an Alpha CB33. My house is quite large with a family bathroom and two en-suite showers (one of which has a Triton AS2000T power shower). I'm worried about whether the Alpha is compatible with this. Any thoughts? The contractor says "nothing to worry about".....

Regards

keep away from combis (even storageones) if you have more than one bathroom

They are easy to fit mind, not that that was at the front of the chaps mind when he quoted for it.

Many will disagree but for performance you cannae whack a cylinder and a pump

job done

Thanks for the advice. Am getting a few more quotes so we'll see what transpires. I was a bit nervous about the idea of a combi myself - all I seemed to be getting from losing the tank seemed to be a big cupboard on the landing.
