Noticed today that there is a very odd smell, kind of like burning, coming from the airing cupboard where the tank & pump are. Wondered if there could be a problem with the Grundfod Super Selectric pump we have. The pump is getting very hot. The heating & hot water seem to be fine but have turned them off as we don't really know what is causing the smell. Thanks.

It could also be coming from the immersion heater, if your copper cylinder is in there....often an acrid, 'fishy' smell caused by the type of plastic used overheating.
