Had to move the old TV stand to add some new stuff. Whilst there, I noticed some green crap over pipe. Is this evidence of a slow leak? The carpet is bone dry, as is the floorboard underneath.

What can I do check if there's a slow leak? I kept an eye last night and couldn't feel anything.

It is a small leak the green is corrosion on the copper, it looks like it has self sealed because of limescale in the water it is the rad valve that needs replacing rad looks OK

Leave it until the heating season is finished - then a new valve, flush the rad while it's empty, new inhibitor before refill

Thanks all. I was considering replacing some of the older rads in the house for newer ones anyway. Happy to drain down the system and replace the valves.
