TN-S has an Earth conductor SEPERATE from the Neutral conductor along the entire run back to the substation.
TN-C-S fas a COMBINED Neutral and Earth conductor external to the installation (up to the service head usually), and an Earth conductor SEPERATE to the Neutral conductor with in the installation (twin and earth cable etc).
TN-C-S may also be known as PME (protective multiple earth), this is because the electricity board can only supply TN-C-S if they use PME on their network cables.
