could some body please help. I had an ideal isar he 30 boiler fitted about 2 and a half years ago, which for the first year worked fine, then the problems started. First of all it started flashing up with a fault code and we would have no hot water or heating, but pressing reset button would sort that out. We rang british gas, they said we needed a new meter as ours is very old and isnt letting enough gas through, so we were meant to ring and get someone to come out and fit a new meter but this problem seemed to lessen so we never bothered, but now we have a problem where we have hot water and no central heating. The boiler fires up for water and for the heating but where as the water comes out of the tap warm, it doesnt warm the radiators up i have bled all the radiators a few times, checked the pressure and also a plumber told me that it cant be the pump because i wouldnt have any hot water through the taps, if that was the case but he couldnt know what was wrong unless he came out to look at it and i dont want to be paying a call out charge if it could be something simple.

So you ignored the first problem, and are hoping you don't need to call anyone out to the second.

Unfortunately, boilers need maintenance. Yours ALSO needs mending. Probably the diverter valve.
Your boiler's a dog, but not the hairy sort. If you keep ignoring it it'll probably get worse not better.

You need to give us the exact fault codes to be able to help you.

There are so many 'common' faults on this ridiculously unreliable boiler that we would all be guessing at your problem
