It’s that time of the year, again!
“Oh no it isn’t!”
“Oh yes it is!”

The Golden Coach drawn by four (or was it six?) white horses carries the Queen to another pantomime.
The coachmen are dressed in their finest regalia and everyone gathers to watch the procession.

Upon arrival at the big building with the very tall clock, Good Queen Liz goes into the posh part of the building where she knows some of the audience from previous play acting sessions with a sword.

A chap in a funny black costume is ordered to go and get the reprobates from the slum end of the building but when they see him coming, they slam the door in his face. As there is no doorbell the chap uses a big stick, that he just happened to be carrying, to bang on the door and make the sinners follow him to watch and listen as the Good Queen makes a bit of a speech before she sets off back home in the coach for tea.

Afterwards the people from the poor end of the building go back and take up their seats for the second half of the pantomime.

This is where the youngsters in the audience (and the older ones too!) can join in and shout at the wicked witch and anyone else they dislike.
Gordon wants to have a few words but David jumps up and says that Gordon has pinched some of his ideas.
“Oh no we didn’t!” says Gordon
“Oh yes you did!” replies David
All of David’s ‘men’ start shouting and hissing.
Gordon’s ‘men’ in the other half of the auditorium all start shouting back and jeering at David’s ‘men’.

Dads all over the country start to sneak out of the audience and pop off down to the pub, leaving the ‘children’ to slag it out and get on with
