John Guest says have the first meter of pipe to & from the boiler in copper ...... Oki ......... Would that be un-insulated copper or just ...... Copper & stop stressing about it

Its copper but its better if all hot pipes are insulated to avoid wasting heat.
Its because plastic pipes can burst if they get too hot!
Most boiler manufacturers require a metre or so of copper on the flow and the return! ( Why the return? )

Is it incase the pump takes a dump ? ........ That was just a guess ...... Anyways if I go mad & use 2M lead in/outs all should be hunky dorey shouldn't it ?
