dont know how many years ago, but i changed my mothers CH timer.

it has now developed a problem (please read on i am going to change it)

the actual time is always right

the on off times are always as they were set

but it decides (when it wants to) to come on if its off

or if its on turn off

both of the above when it wants to

but my question is this, do a lot of "mordern" timers go wrong this way?

(sorry dont remeber model, but i am asking "in general" do they do odd things?)

I am thinking as i type this if its got an internal battery thats flat or nearly flat.

oh and which one would you say is (in your opinion) the most reliable make model?

Is there a reset button on the programmer? Try pressing it, it will revert back to factory settings.

Thanks guys.

there is a "zone valve" in the loft, but thats been there for some years, although from reding this forum i know the valves go wrong.

i never thought to look for a reset / default button, but i tripple checked the times, and time settings, they are right and of course it switched off after i had left
