I'm really sorry to hear that, even though we've underachieved massively this season and made some pretty cr*p signings I'd have liked to see him given another season.
Now that the decision is made and the article talks of a choice between Benitez and Martinez I hope they go for Martinez.

I agree, Sooey. It's too early yet. Could be seen to be that American owners acting prematurely and hardly for the first time. That said, Martinez would be an interestng choice.

If they employ Martinez.....they are making a massive mistake....they will spend big now to get a top quality manager in......exciting times!

Presumably a Martinez-led 'pool would be a slow-build job? The designer managers would no doubt insist on a lot of finance being made available pretty quickly?
