I currently have a small fridge in a tall kitchen cupboard (suitable for a taller fridge/freezer), the socket to this fridge is in the cupboard also (mounted flush in the wall behind) and is easily accessible as it is at a position higher than the top of the fridge and has an area cut out of the back of the cupboard to allow access.
I want to replace with a tall fridge freezer but this means that the socket for the new fridge freezer will not be easily accessible – is this against regulations?
This tall cupboard is to the left hand side of the kitchen worktop where is double socket is position. Is it ok to run the flex from the new fridge freezer through a hole cut in the side of the cupboard and into the socket – as shown on my diagram?
Many thanks
