Kitchen unit recomendations

Well, I've just come back from spending nearly £1000 on an MFI kitchen, so here's hoping that it's good! I didn't measure the thickness of the carcasses but they were good and thick, possibly 18mm.

My parents' kitchen fitter raved about how easy MFI kitchens are to put together too.

Only issue I had was that despite having the list of bits I required in hand (I had a quote on Saturday) I had to wait for an hour until they would actually bl**dy well sell me the kitchen

Probably better to have a dense 15 mm carcase as opposed to 18 mm which MAY be 50% air !! Never mind the width, feel the quality !!

Do not be saddened if you find you have 15 mm carcases .. Our kitchen is hard worked from full storage of jars, cans, equipment etc etc .... Chopping board and cleaver use .. near 10 yrs later, no bowed shelves or doors, no creaking, shifting worktops .. no noticeable deterioration of surfaces surrounding gas hob ... despite extensive wok use etc No peeling laminates or discolouration .. Backs although thin have not warped or fallen apart they remain tidy and flat ... good for another 10 yrs IMHO. ( Thanks be for that .. ) ;)

most carcuss units fit flush to back wall, just need to cut out of back of units to suit!...
