When running cables behind kitchen cupboards, it's obviously acceptable to clip to the plaster surface, (or masonry if not plastered).

When running several cables together, I generally wrap them in cable ties and clip the cable tie to the wall.

Or alternatively, using a short piece of t&e (usually old stuff - why waste new) nail through this 'strap' with clout nails or masonry nails each side, effectively wraping the cables together. If this is done at regular intervals, does this still seem acceptable?
