Ladders - advice please

I need a decent ladder to help me paint the top windows and guttering on my house.

I have been mulling over the idea of getting a telescopic ladder as we dont have any space to be able to keep a full size ladder.

Looking on eBay i have seen some that look reasonably priced for for example

Are these ladders any good ? Or would i be better of getting a traditional ladder ?

Any advice would be aprreciated.

ladders are not a work platform, they are only a means of access.

people are temppted to use them then lean a little bit too far over and....

also the ones you mention only reach 12 feet, not good for eaves, hire a tower, easier and safer
