I want to lay laminate flooring to my flat hallway and kitchen.

I know which one i want.

However the underlay that is supplied does not look that well soundproofed, i want to respect the people under me, can you buy an additional soundproof for this flooring, or is there something else i could use.

Hi

Before you go ahead with the laminate flooring check your lease or check with your freeholder to see if the freeholder needs to give permission. Some leases state that the freeholder must give permission because of the noise issue.

I'm no expert on laminate underlay but if you don't get any advise from this forum I'm sure one of the laminate manufacturers should be able to offer some advise.
