We moved to a house elastic year and after a couple of months the plasterboards in the lounge ceiling fell off, we realised there was an ongoing leak for ages in the upstairs bathroom, which the previous owners hid from us.
We got a plumber, plasterboarded the ceiling and all was OK, until a few months later all the sealant in the bathroom came off (plumber did a trash job) got a new plumber fixed everything then we never had any issues.
Fast forward to now, we're getting upstairs rooms renovated, the joiner removes the floorboards in the room next to the bathroom and he finds that the underlay is damp...
My question is would the underlay still be damp from all this time or is this an obvious issue that we still have a leak?
I attached a picture of the old damage that we had and when the leak happened again.
