Hi All

I have a new radiator that is leaking where the tail screws into the body of the radiator. It is only a slow drip but is very annoying!! I have tightened it as much as possible and smeard a bit of LS-X around the joint but it still drips.

When I fitted the tail I made sure it had enought PTFE tape and wrapped it the right way.

Is there anything I can do to stop it leaking without having to drain and re-do the joint??

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Not really. Need to reseal the thread on the tail.
Shouldn't take long just to isolate 1 rad and fix. ;)

Its easy to isolate the radiator and just drain it.

Then redo the joint.

Perhaps you now can value the experience of a professional?

Is there anything i can do to make sure it doesn't leak in the future?? I have seen online that some people have suggested L-SX in the thread with the PTFE, or even using Gas PTFE.

Is this worth considering??

Thanks for your help so far.
