location of ford fiesta sump

The sump is the bottom most part of the engine, it contains oil (or at least it should)
To let this oil out, you need to find the sump plug when you locate the sump plug, unscrewing it will allow the oil to drain out by gravity, into a suitably placed container.
Hope this helps. ;)

You have to look closely to see that he has added a comment.
Sorry, yes
I did not mean to sound patronizing, but if only people would ask exactly what they require, and give better information. ;)

where is the sump on a 1997 ford fiesta 1300 to drain oil?
Hi it should be located at the rear of the sump, a hexagonal plug, approx 19mm, use the correct spanner or socket to remove it, don't risk rounding the corners with a ill fitting tool.

To answer the original question....

Have you tried looking underneath the car? :D :D

The sump plug is usually 13mm - if it has a white plastic washer, use a new plug too - if its got the rubber 'o' ring type integral with the plug you can re use it....but if the hexagon is chewed, get a new one anyway. Cheers John
