Hi i want to put a floor in my loft just for storage at the moment ( quite a lot) but also with maybe a thought to convert it in the future

the roof has two purlins and two binders theres a supporting wall between the binders dead centre the binders are 3 metres apart and are 7x2.5 inch timber i was wondering if i could put 6x2 timbers between these binders resting on the supporting wall dead centre the max span would only be 1.5 metres i would use joist hangers either side and run the joist the same way as existing rafters but leaving an inch gap hope this all makes sense

the binders are 7 x2.5 and run from party wall to wall plate would these need strenghening as they are pretty substantial anyway ?
