1.... In my loft there is some insulation that resembles wool..
it's not rockwool i know that.. but it does resemble shredded rockwool..
maybe some sort of blown insulation..
anyway.. since it's very old, is there any posibility of it containing asbestos?
2.... at least 2 or 3 of my ceiling joists have come away from the piece of wood that goes crossways to them ( sbout 1/3 of the way from the eaves.., under a purlin )
there is a gap of between 5 and 15mm under this timber where all the rest are tight under it..
3.... My company makes air con units and use some sheets of pink foam in the construction of the pannels for it.
it's the same stuff sold in B&Q by KNAUF as loft boards to go between 2 sets of flooring adding to the insulation..
can this be used as a primary insulation instead of rockwoll?
if so, how thick do i need it to be, and can it be laminated from thinner sheets or in one piece?
